By this point you have:
Identified the activities that need to be done.
Prioritised them, for importance, so that the most important gets done first.
Now we turn to getting stuff done as quickly as possible to progress your turnaround as fast as possible.

How to Get Stuff Done

The first step is to read the article on designing and executing ‘sprints’ of 1-2 weeks. Experience in the software industry has shown this to be the most effective technique. Especially with cases like the turnaround of your business.

Planning Your Sprints

Using the approach in the article above, work out:

You can list the sprints on any media that is easy to change. This is because sprints are likely to change a fair bit. Use Word, a spreadsheet or, our preference, a mindmap software like Mindomo. It is free, cloud based, and shares the maps on any device, making it convenient to use no matter where you are.

Remember, you have room for 12 one-week sprints in the 90 day period. You can, therefore, cover a lot of ground. But, on the other hand, you only have up to 12 things you can do. Don’t waste a sprint on something not important.

What Now?

Once you have done this sprint planning step, you are ready to start executing your chosen sprints that address your key issues.

The following Lessons do not have to be done in any order.
Begin with the topic you decided was the most important and address any issues arising in that topic first.
Then move through the second most important topic; and so on.
